CSIRO Hut
CSIRO Hut is an Australian alpine hut. The hut was built by the CSIRO in the early 1960s. It was used for researching the control of rabbits in the Kosciuszko National Park. The hut was built in the north-eastern region of Snowy Plain, where the rabbit population was at its worst. The hut was instrumental in the study of rabbit relationships in burrows during the late 1960s.〔(Kosciusko Huts Association )〕 In 2000 The CSIRO abandoned the hut due to funding cuts〔(Landline - 3/12/00: Rabbit control program at risk . Australian Broadcasting Corp )〕 and can be used by walkers to this day. The hut is often also called Rabbiters Hut. ==See also==
